The PC footswitch RS-26 can be connected to your PC either via USB or serial port. It allows typists the hands free controlling of the DSS Player Pro Transcription software. In connection with DS-4000 and its docking station the footswitch RS-26 further permits hands free dictation. The RS-26 is supplied in the AS-4000 transcription kit, but as well available as a single item.

Please note: It is against the software licence supplied by Olympus to use multiple copies of the Olympus DSS Pro Transcription software without purchasing the AS-4000. The software WILL detect multiple copies of the software installed with the same serial number. For additional licences please click here.

Please Note

The RS-26 is only supplied as a replacement for RS-26's that have failed outside of warranty and are unecomonical to repair, or for use with a third-party transcription kit that provide the drivers and software with their package.

We make no assurances that this foot-control will work with any third-party software/drivers, and the foot controls do include any CDROM or downloadable device drivers for any platform (despite the switches compatibility with Mac & Windows).

We do know that Winscribe can provide the device drivers for PC with their application, but this is only provided from Winscribe - not us or Olympus.
