Replaces the DS2
The DS30 is the replacement model for the DS2. It comes with more accessories, mainly the stereo microphone. It does however have a new file format – WMA not the DSS file format. In our opinion they should have kept with the DSS files format as it was slight smaller (10-15% sometimes) and made it easier to email if required. But as internet speeds increase this may not be as large a problem. If file size is an issue consider the Olympus DS2300
