The Z1080 AV receiver includes the latest surround sound technologies including Dolby Digital Surround EX, dts ES Discrete 6.1 and matrix 6.1 decoding.

But the receiver doesn't just decode and play movies with surround soundtracks: it can enhance regular stereo soundtracks, by recreating surround sound channels using cutting edge Dolby Pro Logic II / Pro Logic IIx and dts Neo:6 Stereo to Surround sound processing.

High definition sound is supported from the core of the amplifier, with a 24 bit, 192KHz digital sound processing CPU.

The Z1080 AV is built to Zensonic's uncompromising standards, with a 100dB signal to noise ratio and powerful 120 watt RMS output power across each of its seven channels.

For all that power, there's no trade-off in quality. A signal to noise ratio of 100dB provides freedom from distortion, and a frequency range of 20Hz to 60KHz opens up the sound imaging field.

A huge number of inputs provide maximum flexibility in constructing and extending a home theatre system in the future. Two sets of coaxial digital sound inputs are complemented by another two sets of fibre optic digital sound inputs. There are nine video inputs including ultra-high quality component, S-Video and composite.
